Magazine wins national award

‘Parish Views’, your parish magazine, has been awarded a Certificate of Excellence as winner of the Best Layout Award in the annual Church Magazine Awards of the Association of Church Editors.

Magazine layout refers to how pictures, graphics and words are put together to attract the reader. The awards are held nationwide and the competition is entered by many church magazines.

The magazine editorial group, whose members are Helen Bett, Cyril Bowes, Terry Ide, Margaret Sutcliffe, Keith Wilson and Brian Wray, are absolutely thrilled and proud to have all of their hard work and endeavour recognised by the Association of Church Editors.

The awards are normally presented at an award ceremony held in Central Hall, Westminster, but because of the current situation that won’t be possible this year.

The editorial group had to select two magazines from those published in 2019. One of the two selected had to be either the Christmas or Easter edition.

A magazine is only as good as its contributors and the magazine editorial group would like to thank everyone who contributes to ‘Parish Views’ and makes it both a ‘good read’ and a ‘prize winner’.
