Prayer of the Month - April

This month we journey with Jesus through Holy Week and then begin our celebration of Easter. In the church’s calendar, Easter is not just one Sunday, but several weeks of rejoicing in what God has done for us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

So would you join me in praying for us all across the Melton Team Parish, that whatever struggles we are facing, we may know the power of the Crucified and Risen Christ at work within us and amongst us:

“Praise to You, our Heavenly Father,
for in Your great mercy You have given us new birth
into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
Thank You that in Christ we have an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade.
Even as we go through the trials of this earthly life, shield us and protect us, until we enjoy the fullness of salvation when Your kingdom comes on earth as it is in heaven.  Amen.”

Please join me in praying this prayer, based on 1 Peter chapter 1 verses 3 - 9, slowly and thoughtfully, every day during April.

                                                                                                          The Revd Mary Barr
